Tendons
A tendon is a cord of strong, flexible tissue, similar to a rope. Tendons link your muscles to your bones. They let you bones moveas your muscles tighten and relax. They also help to prevent injuries absorbing the impact of movements like run, jump, and that kind of movements. Our body has thousands of tendons. The Aquiles tendon is the longest of our body. Injuries: -Tendons are highly resistant to tearing, but they aren't flexible. They can be easily injured when strainedand may take a long time to heal. Examples of injuries: Tendonitis (Inflammation), Biceps tendon injuries, Strains (tear, pull or twist a tendon).
